Sustainability is an integral and indispensable part of teaching at Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH). Crosscutting sustainability themes are taken up in various courses of study. Education for sustainable development goals forms the core of LUH’s didactic concept. The general method of teaching looks at all aspects of sustainability not only from a disciplinary, but also from an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective. The goal of teaching is to enable students to consider the ecological, social, economic and cultural aspects of the challenges of our time in their entirety, and to identify the local and global consequences of actions.
