- Abstract
This paper introduces a modelling approach for an integrated transmission and distribution grid model (ITDG) for steady state simulations such as vertical power exchange analyses or system service provision of distribution grids. The general objective is to consider both, the effects on the grid behavior and the operational management of the transmission-(TSO) and the distribution grid operator (DSO) in a joint simulation environment. The ITDG model is based on a top down approach for an existing transmission grid model. Since the grid data of the distribution grid level is not available for all parts of the transmission system, the underlying voltage levels are rebuilt with a synthetic distribution grid model considering aggregated transmission grid objective values. For this purpose, standardized grid modules are combined modular and scaled regarding the installed power of the loads, the penetration with distributed generation units and additional parameters. Also the reactive power behavior of the single grid components can be specified. The grid modules (e.g. benchmark grids) consider the necessary level of detail for a reliable distribution grid replication within the ITDG-model.
