Abstract

Wind energy has been receiving very important consideration as a resource of clean energy in the last years. Increasing energy demand leads to large wind turbines, which are not able to operate without an optimal control system. Hence, qualified human resources are essential in the field of wind energy engineering as well as in control of wind turbines. The present work describes the experience of teaching control themes from the point of view of the wind turbine application for a multidisciplinary audience in the Master degree programme on wind energy engineering of the Leibniz University Hannover.
